Wishing for motivation.

Well, I had all these wonderful plans prepared.  Then life hit.

Speaking as a person with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), I can honestly say that it has the ability to interfere with my life to an extent that it takes out all my energy to anything but school, work, and practice.  I'm hoping I'll be able to recover some of myself now, and get going on training.  Stay tuned!

  1. I find the dogs often give me motivation. I come home exhausted from work at times and just want to lay on the couch and relax/watch TV. Not with dogs-they force me to get out and go for a walk(good for my health) and or met up with friends to train-and socialize.
    Good Luck

  2. Thanks. We live in an apartment, so they always get 4 walks a day. Most of the time, that makes me feel better for that short time. :) I <3 dogs.

  3. COngratulations! Having run a pet-sitting/walking service in one of my past lives, I was astounded when I took on a couple of rescue greyhound clients at how incredibly mellow and grounded they were..until e got to the dog park and I got to see them run. You are doing a beautiful thing rescuing these guys. I have a PSD that I rescued first and had trained and certified and believe the relational element that comes with an animal that's rescued is fundamental to the service dog dynamic.
